For this week's pub review we decided to pick a pub more central to the City Centre. Thus The Drawbridge was our choice. Right in the heart of Bristol, this traditional high street pub offers everything that you would want and need from a pub! This pub provides it with all by serving pub classics like hunters' chicken to 8oz rump steaks; pool tables to slot machines.
The pub itself is a Greene King pub which means that their drinks choice is vast, 18 diverse types of cider, lager, beer, and ales on tap! However, due to its location being in the heart of Bristol, it does mean that it is more expensive than most pubs. The prices vary a lot, but most pints come in at around £4.50 to £5.50. They offer many types of spirits like vodka, rum, Gin and so on but what surprised us was their amount. Thirteen types of Gin, six types of vodka like Cîroc, Grey goose & absolute, so it is fair to say you will not run out of choices!
Unlike the first two pubs that we have reviewed The Drawbridge offers a wide variety of cocktails! You could go for a classic Mojito or Pornstar Martini or even try one of Italie's most popular cocktails, Aperol Spritz, which contains Prosecco, Asperol, soda and a fresh slide of orange. They offer a Two for One on all cocktails every day from 5 pm which is an excellent deal for if you're looking for somewhere to start the night!
Overall, we highly recommend this pub if you're in Bristol or just visiting with it being so central it's easily accessible for anyone and being right next door to the iconic Bristol Hippodrome you can't miss it! Based on the location, variety of drinks and prices, classical pub meals and the overall environment, we give this pub the rating 4.2/5.
